CANCELED — Post Malone nixes Texas shows, more over lagging ticket sales

Post Malone’s 2026 “Big Ass Stadium Tour” has hit a bump, with multiple dates being canceled or adjusted as ticket demand has come in softer than expected in several markets.

The issue has drawn attention in Texas, where planned stops in El Paso at Sun Bowl Stadium and Waco at McLane Stadium were among those facing questions over sales.

Sun Bowl Stadium holds roughly 50,000 fans, while McLane Stadium seats about 45,000, putting both venues firmly in the large-scale category the tour is built around.

Ticket prices didn’t help. Entry-level seats for Texas dates generally started between $130 and $170, with floor seats and premium packages climbing into the $400 range and higher.

In some markets, tickets dropped lower as promoters worked to fill seats, while VIP experiences still pushed into the upper price tiers.

Big shoutout to Post Malone, or his PR team, who managed to put a solid spin on the situation when he said he’s promised fans new music and wanted to keep those promises. However, there had to be some fans saying, “What about those of us that had bought tickets?” Nice try Post but most aren’t buying what you’re selling. Think it had something to do with low ticket sales.

The tour itself marks his continued move into country-leaning territory, blending that sound with his pop and hip-hop catalog.

But without a major new album driving momentum, and with a crowded touring calendar in 2026, filling stadiums has proven more difficult than expected.

The cancellations highlight a growing reality across live music — even top-tier artists are not guaranteed sellouts at the stadium level. Hence, there’s only one Taylor Swift.

For Texas fans, it’s a reminder that scale matters, and that even big names have to match the room with demand.

While I’m disappointed Jelly Roll won’t be gracing Texas, if you were thinking about going and supporting this Big Ol’ Tour, go out on that evening and support some local or regional artists that have those $50 to $100 tickets.

Translation, keep it real.
