Sundance Head, an artist who has experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, is recalibrating his aim and going after the highs again with his next album release, scheduled for September.
Head found one of those highs when he won NBC’s “The Voice” in 2016. Since then, he has battled personal demons, survived an accidental shooting and worked to rebuild his life and career. Now sober and looking ahead, he’s trying to get the attention of podcaster extraordinaire Joe Rogan.
Head recently turned to his more than 118,000 Facebook followers for help:
He’s already getting a tidal wave of support from fans who have taken up the challenge and are sharing the post.

I was born and raised in east Montgomery tx – my dad Roy Head is in the gulf coast rock and roll hall of fame – he had a huge song in 1965 “treat her right”.. I won the The Voice in 2016 and toured a stadiums with Blake Shelton and signed a record deal with Dean Dillon, arguably the greatest songwriter to ever live and we recorded and released the album “stained glass and neon” that was promptly shut down by Covid in 2020! I had everything and lost it to depression and severe alcohol addiction.
I was saved by an angel in 2022 and became sober for the first time as an adult. Then I shot my self the guts accidentally with a .22 revolver after it fell out of my 99 wrangler and went off… I wasn’t holding the gun but I was the only one there ha ha …. Crazy story in its own right. I was hunting whitetail alone in east Texas.
I am trying to rebrand and I have a new album coming in sept “the road to redemption” I wrote / produced and recorded it in Houston Texas.
I also have a song placed in the movie “river of angels” produced by Michael Berry about the 2025 July 4 floods in the hill country that claimed the life of 119 people. “The hill country” was release last Friday along side another single titled “Guinevere” .. I have had an incredible life and I’m just getting started.. I’d love to tell you about it on your podcast. I need the views ha ha a big fan – Sundance head.
