The powers that be in Nashville are sending clear signals about who the next big thing may be — Ty Myers.
The 18-year-old Texas native is launching a 33-date U.S. tour, with presale tickets available March 31 through April 2 and general on-sale beginning April 3. More information is available at his official website.
The tour kicks off June 11 and wraps with two Texas dates — Nov. 20 in Austin at the Moody Center and Nov. 21 in Fort Worth at Dickies Arena.
The tour is called “The Legal Tour,” and, well, at 18, there’s still not a whole lot he’s actually legal to do.
Known for high-energy live performances, Myers sings about real-life themes — from worrying about bills to hangovers and long nights. He recently completed a 73-date run that included numerous sold-out shows and was expanded multiple times due to demand, according to a press release.
The remainder of the following information comes from his management team. If you’re a fan, you can skip ahead and grab tickets at his website, www.tymyersmusic.com.
The tour announcement comes as Myers prepares to release his sophomore album, “Heavy On The Soul,” due March 27 via RECORDS Nashville/Columbia. He was also recently selected for Spotify RADAR, an initiative designed to spotlight emerging artists and expand their global audience.
With stops at major venues including The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and the Moody Center in Austin, the tour will feature Benny G as support on all dates, with Brent Cobb and Lanie Gardner appearing on select shows.
One of the most sought-after young artists in country music, Myers is currently performing in stadiums across North America as support for Luke Combs on his “My Kinda Saturday Night Tour.”
Following the first leg of his headline run, Myers will rejoin Combs for additional dates in July before heading to Europe, then return to the U.S. to continue his tour.
He recently made his international debut at C2C: Country to Country and is scheduled to perform at Stagecoach on April 26 in Indio, California.
